No payment due July or December
Tuition is due the first lesson of each month.  A late charge of $5.00 will be added if payment is not received by the second lesson of each month.  If you have a conflict with your lesson time, you may trade lessons with another student for that week.  If you cannot trade lesson times, I can occasionally schedule a make-up.  If you will be out of town or your child is sick, and/or the lesson cannot be made up, I will waive payment for up to 2 lessons.  Beyond these two, payment will be expected for missed lessons.  If I have to cancel a lesson, I will make it up if you wish, or you can use one of the two missed lessons and I will waive payment for the lesson.

  1. Friends or younger siblings are not allowed to come to private or group lessons.  Parents must attend private lessons for the first 6 months of study.  At that point, we will evaluate whether it is necessary for a parent to attend in the future.   Parents do not stay for group lessons.
  2. Group Lessons are on Fridays at 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. at my home unless otherwise indicated on the calendar. These do not replace weekly lessons.
  3. I will purchase books for students.  Reimbursement should be included in the monthly tuition.
  4. Finger nails are to be kept short.  Polish is not to be worn during a performance.
  5. Recitals are held at my home or other venue.  Cost for recitals is included in monthly tuition.  We will have 2-3 recitals throughout the year.  Students will perform 1-2 pieces memorized.
  6. Students are encouraged to participate in Encore events, but are not required to do so.  Most events cost $10.
  7. Cell phones are to be kept on silent during lessons.
  8. If a student is not progressing or I feel that one of us would benefit from a different situation, I may drop the student.
